This antique 19th-century gambler’s kit includes a rare Sharps four-barrel pistol, push knife, vintage playing cards, dice, and other original accessories—an exceptional slice of Wild West Americana.

History:
Gambling in the 1800s was a high-stakes world, often laced with danger. Armed gamblers carried compact weapons like the C. Sharps & Co. pistol for self-defense, making kits like this both practical and symbolic of the frontier lifestyle. These sets were a gambler’s lifeline at card tables across saloons and riverboats.

Features:

  • Rare C. Sharps & Co. four-barrel derringer
  • Push dagger knife with period design
  • Vintage playing cards in original card case
  • Dice, silver flask, gambling tokens
  • Risqué female figure pin, likely used as a good luck charm
  • All housed in a period-appropriate case

Dimensions:
Approx. 15" W x 9.75" L x 2" H

Condition: Good. Shows light to moderate wear, may have minor imperfections. A very fine example of the collectible, museum-worthy.

Provenance: A retired French American, Napoleonic, Civil War Era Collector & Museum Curator (asked not to be named)
