This antique cast iron Scandinavian-style Star Lock padlock dates to the mid-to-late 19th century and features a distinctive star-shaped keyway plate on the bottom of the lock body. The prominent embossed star surrounding the keyway is a defining feature of these unusual historical locks and gives the piece its “Star Lock” name.
