Dragon Man, also known as the Artificial Human, is a robotic being created by Doctor Doom. He was an enemy of the Fantastic Four and usually worked with Doctor Doom in his plans to destroy them. Dragon Man first appeared in Fantastic Four #35 (1965). He was portrayed as a powerful and dangerous villain who had superhuman strength and durability.
Dragon Man was initially created to be an unstoppable killing machine. However, he ended up taking a more sympathetic role over time as he became more aware of his emotions and morality. He eventually became friends with the Fantastic Four, even helping them fight against Doctor Doom's various schemes. His loyalty to both Dr. Doom and the Fantastic Four made him a wild card in their battles, often switching sides or working alone for his own purpose or agenda.
The Fantastic Four generally appreciated Dragon Man's help but were wary of him due to his unpredictable nature. Despite this, they still allowed him to stay with them on occasion when it wasn't feasible for him to remain with Dr. Doom due to any given circumstance at the time.
Dragon Man may not be classified as one of the greatest villains ever created but he is certainly one of the most popular characters from Marvel Comics' Silver Age comics era thanks largely to his unpredictable nature and relationship with the Fantastic Four. He helped provide some interesting storylines and dynamic between himself and other characters throughout his appearances during this period which makes him all the more memorable today.
