This outstanding German World War II Heer Officer’s Sword was manufactured by the highly respected firm Ernst Pack & Söhne M.B.H., Waffenfabrik Solingen and bears the desirable “Siegfried” company logo on the blade. This is an above-average example featuring the rare solid brass grip, a characteristic typically encountered on higher-quality, private-purchase swords. The sword is complete with its original 1st pattern officer’s portapee, executed in black and silver bullion of exceptional quality, strongly indicating ownership by a senior-ranking officer.

The 34.5-inch blade remains firm in the hilt and is maker-marked “Siegfried – Ernst Pack & Sohne M.B.H. Waffenfabrik Solingen,” with only minor, honest age spotting visible. The obverse langet displays a finely detailed Wehrmacht eagle facing right over stylized radiating rays within a shield, while the reverse langet remains clean and correctly contoured. The hilt and dove-head pommel are sharply defined, with excellent overall preservation. The painted steel scabbard is truly exceptional, retaining nearly all of its original black finish with only minimal handling marks. The scabbard is numbered “542” at the throat, and the sword draws and sheaths smoothly.
