ThisGerman WW2 M34 Fire (Civil) Police Helmetretains approximately 90% of its original police eagle decal on the left side and roughly 80% of the swastika party shield on the right. Issued to members of theFeuerschutzpolizei (Fire Protection Police), this M34 pattern steel helmet conforms to the 1936 uniform regulations that standardized police headgear with the wreathed police eagle and NSDAP party shield. The decals remain vibrant and well-defined, contributing to strong visual impact and display presence.
The Feuerschutzpolizei served as a specialized branch of the German national police, tasked with fire protection and civil defense duties, particularly during Allied bombing campaigns. Helmets of this pattern were worn in both ceremonial and operational capacities and have become increasingly collectible within the field of Third Reich police and civil defense memorabilia. The liner and chinstrap are present; while they may have been replaced at some point, they complete the overall presentation of the piece and allow for immediate display.
This helmet was acquired as a walk-in purchase at our gallery and was represented as a veteran bring-back.
