This rare and imposing German WW2 Early War Political Wall Eagle is a striking political relic from the early Nazi era, likely displayed in a place of prominence within an NSDAP or NSKK facility. Cast entirely in solid metal and weighing an impressive 6.4 lbs, this massive piece exemplifies the bold, militaristic iconography of the time.
The design features the classic Reichsadler, its wings spread wide while clutching a wrought-iron wreath and swastika, a motif used throughout Nazi political and military structures. The shape and style of the eagle suggest it dates to the late 1920s to mid-1930s, aligning with the early NSDAP period and potentially the National Socialist Motor Corps (NSKK), which played a key role in Germany’s militarization through motorized transport. These early NSDAP eagles are much more rare than similar and more common NSDAP and Train Railway Eagles!
Surviving examples of these early, all-metal political eagles are exceptionally scarce, as most were destroyed post-war or lost to history. Given its size, weight, and fine craftsmanship, this wall eagle stands as a museum-worthy artifact, offering collectors a significant piece of Nazi-era propaganda and militaristic history.
