This meticulously restored German WW2 Fast Attack Craft War Badge is a remarkable piece of military history. Originally awarded to crew members of the Kriegsmarine's fast attack craft, this badge has been carefully repaired and painted to preserve its historical integrity.
Instituted on May 30, 1941, by Grand Admiral Erich Raeder, the Fast Attack Craft War Badge (Schnellbootkriegsabzeichen) was awarded to recognize the courage and service of sailors aboard Germany’s nimble and dangerous S-boats (Schnellboote). These small, fast naval vessels played a key role in coastal operations, mine-laying, and hit-and-run attacks against Allied convoys, especially in the English Channel and North Sea.
The badge is elegantly framed alongside the original award document, making it a striking display piece for any collector or history enthusiast. This unique presentation honors the bravery and service of the German naval forces during World War II.
