This is a rare and well-preserved SS officer's cufflink, brought home by a U.S. veteran during the postwar occupation period. Constructed of heavy nickel or silvered brass, the link features a clean, minimalist stud design, one end with flat disc and the other formed into a rectangular clasp. While unmarked, it is consistent in size and style with period SS officer wear, often paired with cuff-titled dress uniforms or parade tunics.
The SS (Schutzstaffel) maintained some of the most visually distinct and symbolically charged uniforms of the Third Reich, with officers often wearing tailored garments accented by private-purchase cufflinks, rings, and accessories.
Such items were frequently looted or surrendered in the immediate post-surrender period.
SS officer uniform accessories, especially wearable regalia like this, remain in high demand for both display and historical interpretation.
