A classic German WWII Luftwaffe enlisted / NCO cloth breast eagle in the second-pattern style used during the wartime period.
The insignia is machine embroidered in grey-silver thread on a dark blue-grey backing and depicts the stylized Luftwaffe eagle with drooping wings clutching a swastika. It was designed to be sewn directly to the service tunic.
This example appears to be uniform removed, giving it the service-used appearance many collectors prefer over an untouched stock example.
