Hitler Youth KLV Children Holiday Transportation Medallion (HJ-Abzeichen der Erweiterten Kinderlandverschickung)

This German World War II Hitler Youth KLV Children Holiday Transportation Medallion, known as the HJ-Abzeichen der Erweiterten Kinderlandverschickung, is a very scarce non-portable award measuring approximately 80 mm in diameter. The piece is die-struck zinc and one-sided, with the script “ERWEITERTE KINDER-LAND-VERSCHICKUNG” around the circumference. The center features a high-relief Hitler Youth eagle positioned above a large HJ/DJ rune. Its size, subject matter, and non-portable format make it a distinctive and less commonly encountered piece of Hitler Youth-related material.

The Kinderlandverschickung, or KLV, was established in 1936 and was responsible for sending German children and youth to the countryside for holidays, rest, and later wartime evacuation.
