This is an original NS-Reichsjugendtag 1932 Potsdam Badge, produced to commemorate the first Reichsjugendtag (Reich Youth Day) held in Potsdam on October 1st and 2nd, 1932. Badges of this type were issued in connection with the Hitler Youth rally and were worn by attendees in association with the event.
This example is produced in bronze, which denoted a spectator, while silver examples were issued to participants. The obverse features the event-specific design rendered in clear relief. The reverse is marked “F. Hoffstätter, Bonn,” indicating manufacture by Ferdinand Hoffstätter of Bonn, and is additionally marked “Ges. Gesch.” (gesetzlich geschützt), meaning the design was legally protected under German law at the time. The badge retains its original attachment hardware.
This badge is an authentic example of early National Socialist youth event insignia from the pre-World War II era and is suitable for collectors specializing in Hitler Youth memorabilia, early NSDAP rally badges, and German political event insignia, as well as for historical reference within a broader collection.
