This is a one of a kind collectible—an original British 1827 Royal Navy Officer’s Fighting Quill-Point Sword, attributed to an elite naval officer and knight of the Most Noble Order of the Garter. Crafted by the renowned John Prosser, this sword features a premium sharkskin grip and a deeply engraved blade inscribed with “DIEU ET MON DROIT” and the iconic motto of the Garter: “Honi soit qui mal y pense.”
The sword’s 29.5" blade is finely preserved and housed in its original leather sheath with metal tip. Though the sheath shows age-related brittleness and splitting, it remains functional and historically intact. This rare piece embodies British aristocracy, naval power, and 19th-century craftsmanship—ideal for any serious collector of Napoleonic or Royal military antiques.
