Rare German WWII 14th Waffen Grenadier Division Galizien Sleeve Shield | Lion & Crowns

A desirable German WWII sleeve shield associated with the 14th Waffen Grenadier Division of the SS, often identified with the Galicia region. The patch features a gold or yellow rampant lion with small crowns on a blue shield surrounded by a gold-colored border and mounted on a dark fabric backing.

The division was formed in 1943 and drew heavily from volunteers from the Galicia region. The lion and crowns formed a distinctive nationality and formation insignia used on sleeve shields associated with the unit.
