This impressive Slovakian Railway Worker Regiment II Commemorative Medal is a substantial and historically significant interwar-era award tied to early paramilitary and infrastructure units later absorbed into wartime service. The medal commemorates the formal dedication of the battalion to the Railway Regiment on March 10, 1935, in Pardubice, with inscriptions referencing the ceremonial handover by Mayor JUDr. Frýba to Regiment Commander Colonel Pacht. Struck in bronze, the medal measures 60 mm, weighs approximately 88.29 grams, and is signed by the engraver F. Zuska.

Only 100 examples were minted, with a small number reportedly struck in silver, making this an exceptionally scarce issue. The obverse features a soldier holding a banner, notably wearing an unusual variant of the vz. 29 helmet, a detail of particular interest to collectors of Central European military equipment. The reverse bears the emblem of the Railway Regiment, symbolizing the critical logistical and transportation role such units played during the interwar period and throughout the Second World War.

Large-format commemorative medals of this type were often presented to senior personnel or preserved as institutional keepsakes, and few survive today. With its low mintage, heavy bronze construction, and clear historical inscriptions, this medal represents a museum-grade artifact ideal for advanced collectors of Slovak, railway, or interwar military history.
