An exceptionally rare WWII-era Triangular Pennant from the Deutsche Kinderschar (German Group of Children's League), an early National Socialist youth organization. This double-sided, off-white fabric pennant features black embroidered lettering spelling "Niederhofen" (likely referring to the southern Black Forest district of Hofen), along with a red swastika emblem. The pennant is constructed from multi-piece cotton with tight stitching and two cloth hooks for mounting. It shows signs of age and use, making it a one-of-a-kind piece of early NSDAP youth memorabilia.

The Deutsche Kinderschar (DK) was established by the National Socialist Women's League (NS-Frauenschaft) for children aged 6-10, operating between 1933 and 1945. Unlike the Hitler Youth (HJ), this group focused on games and social activities under the supervision of primary school teachers. By 1938, over 350,000 children were enrolled, and participation became compulsory in 1936. Upon turning 10, members transitioned into the Deutsche Jungmädel (girls) or Deutsche Jungvolk (boys), eventually joining the Bund Deutscher Mädel (BDM) or Hitler Youth (HJ) at age 14. This pennant is an important relic of NSDAP German youth indoctrination efforts, serving as a precursor to the Hitler Youth movement.

Provenance: The Late Clyde Davis Collection - as seen in Military Advisor Magazine 2024 – Clyde R. Davis was an avid German WW2 Collector specializing in Hitler Youth memorabilia.
