This M1939 Royal Yugoslavian Army Officer’s Dagger is a rare piece of weaponry with a connection to fascinating WW2 history. Having been used only briefly before Yugoslavia’s fall to Germany in April 1941, the blade is marked with the Royal Yugoslav crest. The hilt, made of wood, features intricate detailing that adds to its elegance. The scabbard includes ornate metal fittings, completing the dagger's fine design and construction.
These daggers were issued to high-ranking officers of the Royal Yugoslav Army during the final years of its existence. With Yugoslavia's rapid defeat, very few of these pieces survived, especially in such a detailed and intact state, making this an exceptionally rare collector's item from the early years of WW2.
