This American Officer’s Sword, c. 1776–1783, features a silver animal eagle head hilt and an original ivory grip—complete with its intact chain guard and rare original leather and metal sheath. It hails from the prestigious William H. Guthman Collection, making it a historically significant and museum-quality piece.

This extraordinary piece measures 32.5" long with a 26.25" blade, and is among the exceedingly rare silver-hilted officer swords of the Revolution—fewer than 0.5% featured silver hilts.
