RLB Civil Air Defense Honor Stickpin

This is an original WWII-era German Reichsluftschutzbund (RLB) Civil Air Defense Honor Stickpin, associated with the national civil air defense organization responsible for air-raid preparedness and civilian protection. Stickpins of this type were worn on civilian attire to denote recognition for service and merit within air defense activities.

The obverse features the RLB honor emblem rendered in clear relief and corresponds to the Civil Air Defense Honor Decoration awarded “Für Verdienste Im Luftschutz” (For Service in Air Protection). The reverse is marked “1938,” indicating the award year, and retains its original stickpin assembly. 

This stickpin is a rare and authentic example of German civil defense insignia from the World War II era and is well suited for collectors specializing in Third Reich–period civilian awards, air defense memorabilia, and historical insignia, as well as for reference within a broader collection.
