This U.S. WWII-era United States Marine Corps pith helmet remains in strong, original condition and retains excellent external material integrity. The interior of the shell is clearly stamped “INTERNATIONAL HAT CO. NXEX-67-81 JUNE 29, 1944”, confirming wartime manufacture. The helmet is structurally sound and well-formed, showing a single indentation to the crown. The interior liner is present, while the chinstrap is missing. Overall, the helmet presents very well and remains stable for display or study. Please inspect images closely for full condition.

Pith helmets were widely utilized by U.S. Marine forces operating in tropical and Pacific environments during World War II. Designed to provide lightweight protection from heat, sun exposure, and environmental hazards, these helmets became iconic of Marine operations in island campaigns. Wartime-dated examples bearing clear manufacturer stamps are increasingly scarce, particularly those retaining solid structure and legible markings.

This is an excellent opportunity to acquire an authentic, wartime-dated USMC pith helmet with strong visual presence and clear provenance. A desirable addition to any World War II Marine Corps or Pacific Theater collection, offering both historical substance and display appeal.
