U.S. WW2 M8 Signal Pistol with Aircraft Mount and Holster
Share
This WWII-era U.S. M8 Signal Pistol is an amazing piece of ordinance history, including the flare pistol itself, a leather holster, and a rare aircraft pistol mount. Manufactured by the McInery Spring & Wire Co., the pistol bears the marking "U.S. Property Pistol Pyrotechnic" on the right frame, along with the serial number "28805" on the backstrap.
The leather holster, though worn, remains functional, while the aircraft mount, marked "Mount Pistol Pyrotechnic M8, E.V.C. Company 1943", readily attaches to the pistol’s muzzle for secure operation. This set is a fine representation of WWII ingenuity and versatile equipment design.
