This is a one of a kind collectible from the final phase of WWII combat gear.
This British World War II Turtle Helmet MK4 is a superbly preserved example of 1940s military headgear. Complete with its original mesh cover, intact liner, and secured chinstrap, this helmet exemplifies the later-war evolution of British protective equipment.
Introduced in 1944, the MK4 improved upon the earlier MK3 by offering enhanced shrapnel protection, better weight distribution, and updated fittings. The original woven mesh cover—used for camouflage—remains fitted, with no signs of separation. Its excellent condition, structural integrity, and completeness make it a top-tier collectible for WW2 and military historians.
