This is an original WWII-era Hitler Youth (Hitlerjugend) medical pouch, crafted from black leather and stamped with the HJ diamond insignia on the top closure. The pouch includes an interior flap designed to hold syringes or bandages, though the contents are no longer present. Inside, the flap is clearly marked "RZM 53", identifying official Nazi-era manufacturer licensing. The leather remains supple with minor dust from storage, and stitching is tight and complete.
These medical pouches were issued to designated youth members tasked with first aid and support roles during drills, field exercises, and wartime auxiliary duties.
The Hitler Youth operated as both a paramilitary and ideological training program, and the presence of such kits speaks to their preparation for both civic and military responsibility. Authentic medical pouches from this organization are increasingly scarce.
